Face Editor Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Face Editor, a mobile application published by Jilan Apps ("we," "our," or "us").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Face Editor, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
1. License to Use
Jilan Apps grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use Face Editor for lawful personal or permitted commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the App itself without authorization.
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the App's source code except where permitted by applicable law.
Circumvent subscriptions, purchases, premium restrictions, security measures, or technical controls.
Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the App.
Use Face Editor for fraudulent, unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activities.
2. Face Editor Services
Face Editor provides tools that may allow users to import, capture, edit, enhance, retouch, transform, save, export, or share photos and images.
Depending on available functionality, features may include:
Face retouching
Portrait enhancement
Skin adjustments
Facial feature adjustments
Filters and effects
Makeup effects
Background editing
Image enhancement
AI-powered editing
Face detection
Automated photo processing
Other photo and portrait editing tools
Available functionality may vary depending on the App version, device, operating system, subscription status, internet connectivity, geographic availability, third-party services, and technical requirements.
3. Photos and User Content
Face Editor may allow you to capture, upload, import, edit, save, or export photos and other visual content.
You retain responsibility for content you provide through the App.
You represent that you have the rights, permissions, or other lawful authority necessary to use any content you provide.
You must not knowingly use Face Editor to process content that:
Infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
Violates another person's privacy or publicity rights.
Is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or malicious.
Is used to impersonate another person for deceptive or harmful purposes.
Violates applicable laws or regulations.
4. Ownership of User Content
As between you and Jilan Apps, you retain your rights in original photos, images, and other content you provide through Face Editor, subject to applicable third-party rights.
Using Face Editor does not transfer ownership of your original photos or user-created content to Jilan Apps.
Where processing is necessary to provide requested editing functionality, you grant Jilan Apps a limited license to process, reproduce, modify, transmit, or temporarily store your content solely as reasonably necessary to provide the feature requested by you.
5. Face Detection and Processing
Certain features may use face detection, computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other automated technologies to identify facial regions within an image and apply requested edits.
Face-related processing may support functionality such as:
Detecting facial regions
Locating facial landmarks
Applying filters
Retouching portraits
Adjusting facial appearance
Applying makeup effects
Enhancing photos
Performing other user-requested face edits
Face-related information is used only as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant functionality.
Face Editor is not intended to use Face Data to determine a person's identity.
Jilan Apps does not permit Face Data to be used for advertising, marketing, unrelated profiling, or other unrelated purposes.
6. AI and Automated Editing
Face Editor may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, or other automated technologies to create or process edits.
Automated results may vary depending on:
The selected image
Image quality
Lighting
Face position
Resolution
User-selected settings
Available AI models
Technical limitations
We do not guarantee that every AI-generated or automated edit will be accurate, realistic, unique, or suitable for your intended purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing an edited image before saving, publishing, distributing, or relying on it.
7. Photos of Other People
If you use Face Editor to process a photo containing another person, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of that image is lawful.
Where required, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent or permission from the person depicted.
You must not use Face Editor to:
Harass or threaten another person.
Violate another person's privacy.
Defame another person.
Impersonate someone for fraudulent or harmful purposes.
Create deceptive content intended to facilitate fraud.
Exploit another person's image without lawful authority.
Create or distribute unlawful content.
8. Edited and Generated Content
Face Editor may create edited, transformed, enhanced, or AI-assisted images based on content and instructions provided by you.
Automated processing may occasionally produce unexpected or inaccurate results.
Jilan Apps does not guarantee that edited or generated content:
Will always be realistic.
Will always meet your expectations.
Will be completely unique.
Will be appropriate for every intended use.
Will be free from every possible third-party claim.
You are responsible for determining whether an edited image is appropriate and lawful for your intended use.
9. Intellectual Property
Face Editor, including its software, interface, branding, icons, graphics, code, proprietary filters, designs, templates, effects, and other materials provided by Jilan Apps, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited license expressly granted under these Terms, no ownership rights in Face Editor are transferred to you.
Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
10. Copyright and Third-Party Rights
You must not knowingly use Face Editor to infringe the rights of another person or organization.
You are responsible for ensuring that photos, images, graphics, or other materials you import or edit do not violate:
Copyright
Trademark rights
Privacy rights
Publicity rights
Contractual restrictions
Other applicable third-party rights
Jilan Apps does not grant you ownership of third-party content merely because that content has been edited using Face Editor.
11. Purchases and Subscriptions
Face Editor may offer premium functionality through subscriptions or in-app purchases.
Premium functionality may include additional editing tools, filters, effects, AI features, export options, or other premium content.
Prices, billing periods, available plans, and included functionality will be displayed through the applicable purchase interface before you complete a transaction.
Where auto-renewable subscriptions are offered:
Payment is processed through the applicable app marketplace.
The subscription automatically renews unless canceled according to the applicable store's rules.
The applicable price and subscription duration are displayed before purchase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your applicable app store account.
Deleting or uninstalling Face Editor does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
Following cancellation, premium access may generally remain available until the end of the applicable paid subscription period, subject to the relevant app store's rules.
Refund eligibility is generally determined according to the policies of the platform through which the purchase was made.
If a free trial or promotional offer is available, applicable eligibility, duration, and post-trial pricing will be displayed through the relevant purchase interface.
12. Third-Party Services
Face Editor may rely on third-party technologies and services.
These may include, where applicable:
Google Play Services
Google AdMob
Google Analytics for Firebase
Firebase Crashlytics
Firebase Remote Config
Apple App Store services
AI or machine-learning providers
Image-processing providers
Cloud infrastructure providers
Other technical service providers
Third-party services operate according to their respective terms, policies, technical limitations, and availability.
Jilan Apps does not control all aspects of third-party services and cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability.
13. Advertising
Face Editor may display advertisements where applicable.
Advertisements may be delivered by third-party advertising providers.
Face Data must not be provided to advertising providers for advertising, marketing, or user-profiling purposes.
Jilan Apps is not responsible for products, services, websites, claims, or content offered by third-party advertisers.
14. Internet and Data Usage
Some Face Editor functionality may require an active internet connection.
You acknowledge that:
Certain AI features may require internet connectivity.
Images may need to be transmitted for server-side processing where applicable.
Some functionality may not work offline.
Uploading and downloading images may consume data.
Internet or mobile data charges may apply.
Network interruptions may delay or prevent processing.
Jilan Apps is not responsible for charges imposed by your internet or mobile service provider.
15. Saving and Exporting Content
Face Editor may allow you to save, download, export, or share edited images.
You are responsible for:
Reviewing images before exporting them.
Selecting appropriate recipients when sharing content.
Maintaining backups of important images.
Ensuring you have appropriate rights to publish or distribute content.
When you share content through social media, messaging services, cloud storage, or another third-party platform, your use of that platform is governed by its own terms and policies.
16. Local Content and Backups
Certain photos, editing projects, settings, or other information may be stored locally on your device.
Deleting the App, clearing App data, deleting content, resetting your device, changing devices, storage corruption, or device failure may result in loss of locally stored information.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important content.
Jilan Apps does not guarantee recovery of locally stored information after deletion or data loss.
17. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Using Face Editor in accordance with applicable laws.
Ensuring you have permission to use imported images.
Respecting the privacy and rights of other people.
Reviewing edited or AI-generated content before publishing it.
Protecting your device and content.
Maintaining backups of important images.
Complying with the rules of platforms where edited content is published.
Avoiding fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unlawful use of editing functionality.
18. Prohibited Uses
You may not use Face Editor to intentionally create or distribute content for unlawful purposes, including:
Fraud or identity deception
Harassment or threats
Unlawful impersonation
Copyright infringement
Privacy violations
Defamation
Exploitation
Illegal activities
Circumvention of security systems
We may restrict access to functionality where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or comply with applicable law.
19. Updates and Modifications
We may release:
New editing tools
New filters or effects
AI improvements
Image-processing improvements
Security updates
Bug fixes
Performance improvements
Compatibility updates
Other functionality
Certain functionality may require the latest version of Face Editor.
We may modify, replace, restrict, or discontinue features where permitted by applicable law.
20. Availability
We aim to provide reliable access to Face Editor but do not guarantee that the App, AI services, or every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Availability may be affected by:
Maintenance
Internet connectivity
Server outages
Third-party providers
AI service availability
Device compatibility
Operating system changes
Technical problems
Events outside our reasonable control
21. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Face Editor is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that:
Every edit will meet your expectations.
AI or automated results will always be accurate.
Face detection will work perfectly on every image.
Every feature will work identically across all devices.
Every edited image will be suitable for commercial or public use.
Third-party services will always remain available.
Use of Face Editor will produce any particular personal, professional, social, financial, or commercial outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jilan Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
Use of or inability to use Face Editor.
Unexpected or inaccurate editing results.
Loss or corruption of photos or projects.
User misuse of edited images.
Claims arising from content supplied or published by users.
Third-party services.
Service interruptions.
Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
23. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Face Editor or particular services where reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:
Violation of these Terms
Fraud or abuse
Security risks
Illegal activity
Intellectual property violations
Attempts to bypass subscriptions or technical restrictions
Misuse of face-editing or AI functionality
Upon termination, your right to use affected services may cease.
24. Privacy
Your use of Face Editor is also subject to the Face Editor Privacy Policy, which explains how information, photos, and Face Data may be collected, processed, shared, retained, and protected.
Please review the Privacy Policy before using the App.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in Face Editor, AI or image-processing technologies, available functionality, service providers, applicable laws, or our business practices.
When appropriate, revised Terms will be made available through the App or relevant policy page.
Your continued use of Face Editor after revised Terms become applicable constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed and interpreted according to the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Jilan Apps operates, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your country or region.
