Learn Piano Terms of use

 


These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Learn Piano, a mobile application published by Jilan Apps ("we," "our," or "us").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Learn Piano, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. License to Use

Jilan Apps grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use Learn Piano for lawful, personal, and educational purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit the App itself without authorization.

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the App's source code except where permitted by applicable law.

  • Circumvent subscriptions, purchases, premium restrictions, security measures, or technical controls.

  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the App.

  • Use Learn Piano for fraudulent, illegal, harmful, abusive, or deceptive activities.

2. Learn Piano Services

Learn Piano provides educational and interactive tools that may help users learn and practice piano and related musical skills.

Depending on available functionality, the App may provide:

  • Piano lessons

  • Guided exercises

  • Songs and practice material

  • Interactive piano practice

  • Note recognition

  • Pitch or timing detection

  • Practice feedback

  • Progress tracking

  • Scores and achievements

  • Learning levels

  • Practice challenges

  • Other music-learning functionality

Available functionality may vary depending on:

3. Microphone and Note Detection

  • Technical limitations

We do not guarantee that every note, chord, rhythm, or performance will always be detected or evaluated perfectly.

4. Practice Results and Scores

Learn Piano may provide scores, accuracy measurements, progress indicators, achievements, streaks, or other performance information.

These results are intended to assist your learning experience.

Practice scores and performance evaluations may be based on automated systems and may not always perfectly reflect your actual musical ability or performance.

You should treat these results as learning guidance rather than professional certification or formal assessment.

5. Learning Progress

Learn Piano may allow you to track information such as:

  • Lessons completed

  • Songs practiced

  • Exercises completed

  • Practice duration

  • Accuracy

  • Scores

  • Achievements

  • Learning streaks

  • Difficulty levels

  • Other progress information

Progress may be stored locally or, where applicable, through supported online services.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups where backup functionality is available.

6. Educational Purpose

Learn Piano is intended as an educational and practice tool.

The App does not guarantee that using it will result in:

  • Professional piano proficiency

  • Mastery of any particular song

  • A specific learning speed

  • Passing an examination

  • Admission to a music program

  • Professional certification

  • Employment or commercial success

  • Any particular musical outcome

Learning results depend on factors such as practice, experience, individual ability, equipment, technique, and other circumstances outside our control.

7. Songs, Music and Learning Content

Learn Piano may provide or make available songs, exercises, musical notation, audio, educational material, or other music-related content.

Rights in such materials may belong to Jilan Apps or applicable third-party rights holders.

Availability of particular songs, lessons, exercises, or other content may change because of licensing, technical, legal, or business requirements.

Unless expressly permitted, you may not copy, extract, redistribute, sell, publicly distribute, or commercially exploit protected learning content provided through the App.

8. User Content and Recordings

Where supported, Learn Piano may allow you to record, import, save, or otherwise work with audio or other user-created content.

You remain responsible for content you create, record, upload, import, or provide through Learn Piano.

You represent that you have the necessary rights or permissions to use any content you provide.

You must not knowingly use content that:

  • Infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.

  • Violates privacy or publicity rights.

  • Contains unlawful or malicious material.

  • Violates applicable laws or regulations.

9. Ownership of User Content

As between you and Jilan Apps, you retain your rights in original content and recordings you create and provide through Learn Piano, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.

Using Learn Piano does not transfer ownership of your original user-created content to Jilan Apps.

Where processing is required to provide App functionality, you grant Jilan Apps a limited license to process, reproduce, transmit, modify, or temporarily store such content solely as reasonably necessary to provide the functionality requested by you.

10. Intellectual Property

Learn Piano, including its software, interface, branding, icons, graphics, code, databases, proprietary educational materials, exercises, designs, and other materials provided by Jilan Apps, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited license expressly granted under these Terms, no ownership rights in Learn Piano are transferred to you.

Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Purchases and Subscriptions

Learn Piano may offer premium functionality through subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Premium functionality may include access to additional lessons, songs, exercises, learning tools, advanced practice functionality, or other premium content.

Prices, subscription periods, available plans, and included functionality will be displayed through the applicable purchase interface before you complete a transaction.

Where auto-renewable subscriptions are offered:

  • Payment is processed through the applicable app store.

  • The subscription automatically renews unless canceled according to the applicable store's rules.

  • The subscription duration and applicable price are displayed before purchase.

  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your applicable app store account settings.

  • Deleting or uninstalling Learn Piano does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

  • Following cancellation, access may generally continue until the end of the applicable paid subscription period, subject to the relevant app store's rules.

  • Refund requests and eligibility are generally handled according to the policies of the platform through which the purchase was made.

If a free trial or promotional offer is available, applicable eligibility, duration, and post-trial pricing will be displayed through the relevant purchase interface.

12. Third-Party Services

Learn Piano may rely on third-party technologies and services.

These may include, where applicable:

  • Google Play Services

  • Google AdMob

  • Google Analytics for Firebase

  • Firebase Crashlytics

  • Firebase Remote Config

  • Apple App Store services

  • Audio-processing technologies

  • Cloud infrastructure providers

  • Other technical service providers

Third-party services operate according to their respective terms, privacy policies, technical limitations, and availability.

Jilan Apps does not control all aspects of third-party services and cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability.

13. Advertising

Learn Piano may display advertisements where applicable.

Advertisements may be delivered by third-party advertising providers.

Jilan Apps is not responsible for products, services, websites, claims, or content offered by third-party advertisers.

Any interaction or transaction between you and an advertiser is between you and the relevant third party.

14. Internet and Data Usage

Some Learn Piano functionality may require an active internet connection.

You acknowledge that:

  • Certain lessons or features may not work offline.

  • Content may need to be downloaded.

  • Internet or mobile data charges may apply.

  • Cloud-based functionality may depend on external servers.

  • Network interruptions may temporarily prevent certain functionality.

Jilan Apps is not responsible for charges imposed by your internet or mobile service provider.

15. Device Compatibility

Performance of Learn Piano may vary depending on your device.

Audio recognition and interactive learning functionality may be affected by:

  • Microphone hardware

  • Audio processing capabilities

  • Operating system

  • Device performance

  • Available memory

  • Audio latency

  • Connected accessories

  • Environmental conditions

We do not guarantee identical functionality or performance across every device.

16. Local Data and Backups

Certain learning progress, recordings, settings, downloaded content, or other information may be stored locally on your device.

Deleting the App, clearing App data, resetting your device, changing devices, device failure, or other technical events may result in loss of locally stored information.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important user-created content where backup functionality is available.

Jilan Apps does not guarantee recovery of locally stored information after deletion or data loss.

17. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Using Learn Piano in accordance with applicable laws.

  • Maintaining the security of your device.

  • Protecting account credentials where accounts are available.

  • Using the microphone and audio functionality appropriately.

  • Keeping backups of important recordings or content.

  • Ensuring imported content does not violate third-party rights.

  • Using lessons, songs, and learning materials in accordance with applicable rights and restrictions.

18. Updates and Modifications

We may release:

  • New lessons

  • New songs or exercises

  • Learning improvements

  • Audio-recognition improvements

  • Feature updates

  • Security improvements

  • Bug fixes

  • Performance improvements

  • Compatibility updates

  • Other functionality

Certain functionality may require the latest version of Learn Piano.

We may modify, replace, restrict, or discontinue features or content where permitted by applicable law.

19. Availability

We aim to provide reliable access to Learn Piano but do not guarantee that the App, every lesson, every song, or every feature will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Availability may be affected by:

  • Content licensing

  • Third-party providers

  • Device compatibility

  • Operating system changes

  • Hardware limitations

  • Technical problems

20. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Learn Piano is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Note recognition will always be perfectly accurate.

  • Every performance will be scored perfectly.

  • Every lesson or song will always remain available.

  • Every feature will work identically across all devices.

  • Learning progress stored locally will always be recoverable.

  • Use of Learn Piano will result in any particular level of musical ability, examination result, certification, professional opportunity, or other outcome.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jilan Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:

  • Use of or inability to use Learn Piano.

  • Inaccurate note recognition or performance analysis.

  • Loss of progress, recordings, or other content.

  • Reliance on automated scores or learning feedback.

  • Third-party services or platforms.

  • Service interruptions.

  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

22. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Learn Piano or particular services where reasonably necessary, including in cases involving:

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Fraud or abuse

  • Security risks

  • Illegal activity

  • Attempts to bypass subscriptions or premium restrictions

  • Misuse of our systems or services

Upon termination, your right to use affected services may cease.

23. Privacy

Your use of Learn Piano is also subject to the Learn Piano Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, processed, shared, and protected.

Please review the Privacy Policy before using the App.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in Learn Piano, available functionality, educational content, technology, applicable laws, service providers, or our business practices.

Your continued use of Learn Piano after revised Terms become applicable constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

These Terms are governed and interpreted according to the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Jilan Apps operates, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in your country or region.
